About Us
Hi, my name is Jack Holler, and I’ve been a truck driver since 1985. I’ve experienced many changes within the trucking industry, and my passion continues to be with the industry that I love. It seems that every time we turn around there is a new rule or law for drivers. It also seems that truck drivers have very little input when new rules are put into law.
For years, I’ve had this vision of equal transparency throughout the trucking industry, so this is why I created JamGears.com. Truck drivers now have a platform to have their voice heard. We want to hear the good and the bad. It doesn’t seem that the entire industry is on the same page. DOT wants it one way, the carrier wants the driver to do it their way, and shippers and receivers want it their way. Many times the truck driver is left trying to make everyone happy, but nearly impossible, unless the driver fudges the rules.
JamGears.com will be the voice for the trucking industry, by documenting real experiences from real truck drivers. The different stages of this web site will be dependent upon truck drivers. I would like to turn the site into a site that investigates companies, carriers, truck stops and other entities that truck drivers interact with while doing their jobs.
When companies acquire a certain amount of good or bad reviews, JamGears.com will make an effort to contact that company and ask them to write a rebuttal. They need to understand that their reputation and image depends on it. When companies and people know that they are being watched, they tend to act more responsibly.
When shippers and receivers, truck stops, and carriers know that drivers have a company, such as JamGears.com, looking out for their best interests, it might stop some of the unfair behavior they project towards truck drivers. Eventually, the JamGears.com logo will become a Brand that warrants fair behavior from the entire trucking industry. Drivers have to start working together to take back what is rightfully theirs. We, as truck drivers, have to understand when we stick together, so many things can be accomplished. Complaining over the CB or trying to convoy up hasn’t worked for the drivers in years, so its time for drivers to unite and start documenting the real story. United we will continue to stand, but divided, truck drivers will continue to lose more and more.
JamGears.com will do its best at providing transparency throughout the trucking industry. Drivers, our future depends on it!
